Our Screening Mission

Defining the bioactivity of natural compounds is tedious, complex and exhausting. We offer an unbiased phenotypic screening that allows not only the detection of bioactivity but also generates hypotheses on the modes of action.
 

Cell Painting: Comprehensive Cellular Profiling

Cell Painting is an image-based high-content screening technology that captures multiple structural features of cells simultaneously. By labeling different cellular compartments, it generates comprehensive phenotypic profiles – an individual “fingerprint” for each tested sample. These profiles can be compared with those of well-characterized reference compounds to identify phenotypic similarities. Such similarity-based analyses enable the annotation of compound activity and support the generation of hypotheses regarding their potential mechanisms of action.
